Dane County is moving ahead with a long-overdue effort to chart the future of the Madison airport, one month after federal officials approved its noise mitigation plan.
The Dane County Board approved a $5.8 million contract with civil engineering firm Short Elliott Hendrickson to develop a new master plan for Dane County Regional Airport. The plan could include runway changes, terminal expansion, parking and roadway improvements, neighborhood noise mitigation and climate-resilience measures.
